accelerator cable removal
I've got to bump this question up, cuz I have the same problem right now.
Trying to replace my APPS (tps) and the one cable comes off obviously and simply, the bigger cable with the black plastic end on it is a mystery to me... I've tried prying and turning and tugging to no avail, and don't really want to push it too much and end up breaking it.
Someone here must know the trick to getting that plastic end to release from the bellcrank????

I'll answer my own question, since it might help someone else in the future...
The throttle cable with the black plastic 'ball' on the end is actually a simple pressure fit and is popped off straight off with two screwdrivers or similar prying tools, with care not to bend the throttle linkage. It squeezes back on similarly.
