Abs 1995 2WD

Hey Guys, In the last week my ABS light to the left of the steering column and the brake light to the right of the column has stayed on after start a couple times but not everytime. Until today if I turned off the ignition and restarted it the lights would stay out. Today I tried this three times when leaving work but lights stayed on. I stopped at the store after driving a mile away from work and when I started that time the lights stayed out all the way home. Any hints would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Tim PS the front brake pads were replaced 3-4 months ago.

Look for a damaged wire to the rear top of the pinion.

If it is 4 wheel abs, check the front wheels too.
I have seen this issue at the same time the truck had a front wheel bearing going it. Apparently it allowed the tone ring to wobble inside the hub and it lost 'contact' with the sensor.
I have seen a wire wore thru because it wasn't tied down like factory.
( I did it)

Besides what j-fox said on a '95 low vacuum or low brake fluid will also make the lights come on.
Low vacuum is usually caused by a leak somewhere in the vacuum system.
