Are 4x2's affected by the Death Wobble?
Are the 4x2 Rams affected by the death wobble too? I'm looking at buying a 95 2500 4x2 with 280k on the clock. The steering is a lot sloppier than my 98 gasser, and I'd probably drop in a DSS and PSC steering box.
If a freeway test drive shows it to be bearable, I'll buy it. $4,500.

Nope, the "death wobble" is related to the 4x4's solid front axle. That's one reason automotive manufacturers moved to independent front suspension like the 4x2s have - to eliminate solid axle "caster wobble".

You may notice a wobble in the front, but that is usually from worn out or low quality shocks.
A set of premium shocks really help.
I thought death wobble was related to a worn track bar (lateral rod)
