35x12.50's without a lift?

Has anyone run 35x12.50 tires on a 2002 2500 without a lift? I currently am running 305/70r16 which I believe to be roughly a 33 inch tire. They fit fine, with only a small amount of rubbing at full lock.

I found a good deal on these 35's mounted on 18" wheels, that I would love to get, so I can do the third gen brake upgrade. But the tires/wheels are not in a situation that I can try one on first.

I did try a 37x15.50 tire and it hit the fender before I turned the wheel 1/4 turn. Those would probably need a 6" lift at least to clear.

I would put a leveling kit in the front if I needed to, and in the rear my truck has the extra heavy spring pack already so it sits higher than a standard 2500 to begin with.

I'm pretty sure you will need a leveling kit (2"). My buddy had an '01 and put the leveling kit on, and was running 35X12.5's with a small rub on the control arms. I am currently running 33X13.5's with the leveling kit and have some small rub on the control arms.
