2wd lift kits for 2500 series trucks

Here's what I got....
I am tempted to design a lift kit for our 2wd 2nd gen trucks... But I would like to see from you guys like me (who have 2wd's and wanna lift them) what kind of options you'd be looking for. I have played with the idea of designing a lift spindle (I'm a mechanical engineer, so it's feasible that I can do this... I think... LOL) and also with a bracket/upper control arm set up that would reduce the tension on the supension from using lift springs or spacers.
What i have noticed most obviously is that with my spacer lift (the daystar set) my front suspension is now at 75%-80% of maximum downward travel all the time... it looks GREAT, but it rides really rough and it's probably really harsh on the ball joints (that's just common sense).
I don't offroad a lot in my truck... I head out to the beach and occasionally go to bonfire out in someone's pasture... so it's not like I'm an offroad kind (it's why I didn't bother to get 4wd)... point being I don't need a lift that is going to give me tons of travel... I just want to clear some 35"s or 37"s for looks and the additional meat on the ground floats over the muddy stuff on the weekends...
I'm thinking that I can get stamped parts for the brackets in 1/4" steel that will bring down the lower control arm... use this with a longer spring and a longer upper control arm with more angle on it... that'll be good for 3" or 4" of travel without losing your standard suspension travel... (like an old dan ivan setup for pre-runner style trucks)... BUT if you just use a 3" lift spindle, it'f be a completely stock suspension geometry... the problem would be now that the spindle would be CNC'd and lathed and that's not exactly cheap. Probably about $200 to $300 per spindle assembly (if I only make them a few at a time)... where as it's relatively cheap to have someone plasma cut or stamp cut 1/4" steel. And 1/4" may be overkill, but I like to err on the side of safety...
If anyone else is interested in this... let me know... maybe we can design our own lift kit instead of being left out in the cold and I have enough manufacturing contacts that we could go in together (once we decide on a design) to cut the costs of manufacturing.
The other option I'm looking at is to design a set of fenders and liners for the front that make more room for tires without lift... it's just some trimmed fender, some replacement metal for the liner and some pop rivets and sealant... Just a thought...

So that's a resigned NO from the peanut gallery??? As many posts as I read on here about wanting to lift a 2wd and no one has ANY inputs??? COMON GUYS... gimme something to work with here...

I would buy them. 4 to 6 inch. I'm at the point of fabricating some too. I've looked everywhere and use don't see any good solid options. I would be running coil overs and hydraulic bump stops. The 2wd market out there, well isn't out there. Which attracts me straight into it. I guess I see it as a untapped market with potential to grow in. Maybe this is what elevates me to the next level. Be on the look out for AlphaTech Innovations to bring something all us 2wd dodge guys have been looking for. Thanks for the inspiration, I'll post pictures and resources as they become available.
