Got the light bar and pods. Put them on my 1st gen though because the wife's car has been in the shop 4 ever and she is driving the 2nd gen. So impressed with the light bar I've ordered another for the 2nd gen. Just working on mounting them as time allows. Looks like they are finally making HID kits specifically designed to replace the factory bulbs without a projector. might look further into those as well.

Comparing against the Retroshop page, it looks like you took the top upgrade on the actual lighting units. No problems with the lenses yellowing or hazing? I'd hate to spend that kind of money and then the lenses go south after only a few years.

Do you have any links for this? My Google search results all seem to be irrelevant, at least within the first five pages or so - if I haven't found something relevant in the first five pages of a search, I'm usually wasting time by going deeper.

Since it's a projector headlight, I suppose the finish/color doesn't matter much as far as the light projecting forward. But the chrome looks more original to me, and might make the turn-signal/parking lights more visible to the side - so I would probably go with the chrome if I was in the market to buy at the moment. Not looking to buy at the moment (too many other things demanding $$ and attention), but I research ahead of time so I can act later.

Yes projector doesn't matter what color the light is. I think I'm going to buy black to match my build better. When you are in the market for the lights let me know. I'll probably still have my new chrome ones. Plus we don't live far from each other

My Google search yielded several candidates. Try 9007 HID conversion kit, or 9004 HID conversion kit. Read the discerption carefully because some are NOT "bi-Zenon". Meaning the low or high beam is halogen. Stay away from sellers that offer those. Another thing is to make sure it says it is a direct replacement for the factory bulb and not a one size fits all you have to fiddle with to try and aim it. Stay away from Amazon or Ebay sellers as they can't be trusted to provide accurate discerptions.
