2002 old vs new body style

While hunting for mud flaps for my dually I've seen the following:

Dodge Ram (New Body Style) 2002-Current
Dodge Ram Quadcab (New Body Style) 2002-Current
Dodge Ram ( Old Body Style) 1994-2002

Is the difference the change from the suicide rear door to the conventional style or is it bigger than that? How does it affect the dually fenders as it relates to mud flaps?

The 1500 changed to the 3rd generation body style in 2002. The 2500 and 3500 did not make the change until 2003. Therefore, the 1500 was a 2nd generation truck from 1994-2001 while the 2500/3500 were 2nd generation from 1994-2002. That's probably where the confusion is coming in.

When ordering accessories for a 2002 2500 or 3500, just tell them it's a 2001 and avoid all possible confusion and problems.
