2002, 4x4, wheel bearing , clicks
50K miles, spun the wheel, ( left front ), spins free , no
growling, IE normal bearing, except:
It clicks , about every 20 degrees, no catching ,
just makes a faint clicking noise every each 20 degrees,
Univeral looks good, also,
Right side is fine,
See a "inspect" note in owners manual, how do they inspect,
Note, as soon as my tech manual arrives, I will refrain
from bothering all on these minor items,
trying to get on a trip and get all the important items
completed,
Also, does a std shift have a APP?

????? spacers ??????? new to dodge.
How expensive, hard is it to change a "u" joint ???
How much life left in a " clicker """ ?
Do they have greasable 'U' joints for the front..?
Sure wish they had a " Warn" for this year/model.
Pain all that spinning stuff when your not useing it...
And Thanks for the help, I'm really lost , after owning
'cheby' for 50 yrs....
ooops, do have one dodge, 53 weapons carrier...

u joints are cheap, the axle joints are less then $40 and the shaft joints are $20 ballpark figures, as for ease of changing, if you have a press...or a large vice...piece of cake, if not the shop that sells quality ujoints (dana-spicer) will prolly get about $5-10 per to press em in for ya. and the axle joints are easy as pie thanks to the wheel bearings being sealed on these trucks.

wheel joint
another vote for a wheel joint, got a dealer in TX to knock $1000 off after i convinced him that exact same noise was a bearing eating itself, drove 800mi from the dealer to az, changed the wheel joint, and the noise went away.....
