1994 Ram brake controller harness: Help
1994 Ram brake controller harness: Help
Hello, I'm a new guy. I have a 1994 ram 2500 that came with the factory tow package (7 way trailer plug prewired). I am trying to locate the brake control factory harness plug under the dash and couldn't find it to save my life. I have searched all of the threads and it sounds like it should be there (either white or blue connector)My truck even came with the brake control pigtail along with a heavy duty flasher and relay that is new in the box and was in the glove compartment (the previous owner never towed anything). Is it possible that there isn't a harness under/behind the dash even though it came with everything from the factory (ie relay, flasher, 7 way connector, brake contro pigtail)? I looked long and hard and there is no 4 pin connector....There is only a light blue wire that says "trailer B+ max 15 amps". I even took off the plastic cover under the steering wheel to get a better look. There is not a plug anywhere. Can I wire the plug from the PDC under the hood somehow? I located the wires from the rear 7 way plug that come up along the drivers front fender but after that I can't find anything else. PLEASE HELP
Mine was taped up to other wires just to the right of the steering column and was difficult to find. It was not very long maybe 8 inches. I would look again, it must be there if the truck was prewired with a towing package.
