Fellas
Old Red has a particular sentimental value to me. I dont know if I have ever told the story on here before but here it goes.
Dad bought her in '89 brand new. His first diesel 4x4. That is when I fell in love with Cummins at the ripe old age of 8. I learned to drive on that truck, and learned to pull my first cattle trailer with it. He gave it to me in '01 when he bought his '02. In 2003 in a ridiculously retarded moment I traded it in on a new truck, and regretted it immediately. She was gone for five years. Fast forward to 2007. My bride to be, whom I am forever indebted to for this, tracked down my truck, convinced the guy to sell it back to her, and gave it to me as a wedding present.
Never shall it part from me again!
It was less than 100 miles from home the whole time. The fella who had picked it up took awesome care of it and it looked just like the day I had parted with it.
So much sentimental value there.

Yeah boy, that's some woman right there. Real tear-jerker of a story. Too right you won't want to ever part with that truck again!
I've fallen on hard times, like most of us I guess, and I've thought about selling my old heap. But I have a real hard time doing it. Can't imagine not having her around. She fires up first time, every time, (except once or twice
!) and it's pretty darn stressful when something goes wrong. I'm grateful I'm not at the point where I don't have any choice but to sell her, and feel bad for those of us who have had to.
There's just something about these old trucks....
