Where does this pressure sensor go?

Hi, I bought one of those idiot light fuel pressure sensors on eBay, but the guy selling it apparently is so intent on profits that he can't even send a decent set of instructions. I'm not kidding, it's practically scrawled on the back of a napkin! (seller rpu-inc; best price but he sent speaker wire and no directions! Ugh)

So I'm kinda flying blind here. I saw a post with a nice pic months ago here, but I spent an hour and can't find it anymore. Anybody have a pic to send me? Or some directions?

Michael

It's a 2002 Ram 2500, 47re auto tranny, totally stock unless you consider my exhaust breaking at the muffler a "mod"!

I put mine on the banjo bolt that goes in the inlet side of fuel filter. Not sure what he gave you for fittings.

What I've got is a sensor that looks a lot like an oil pressure sensor on a motorcycle. Hoping to hear from the seller, or does anybody know where this type sensor should go?

You need to determine what kind of thread you have on the end of the sensor - 1/8 in pipe thread or 1/4 in pipe thread or metric. If it is pipe thread, Geno's has a tapped banjo bolt into which you can thread this sensor. If you have a metric thread, then you have to adapt it down to pipe thread first.

Best mounting location is either at the outlet of the fuel filter or at the inlet of the VP, you take off the existng banjo bolt and you substitute the tapped banjo bolt.

I prefer half way inbetween....in line. reduces gauge vibration from both ends.
But definately after the fuel filter. If/when it clogs...you will know.
