When did Dodge start installing LP in tank ?
I know all the 3rd gen have it, but I am not sure if and when Dodge began installing in-tank lift pumps.
I have a 2001.5 (with rear disk brakes) and it has an in-tank pump (I can hear buzzing).

Hmmm.
I think it was around September or October 2005? I had my VP and LP replaced under warranty in April of 05 and I still got the block mounted job, not even a peep about in tank retro at that point. (I had a 2001.5, 68K on it when the VP died)

You can call dealer and give them the VIN, they might be able to tell you the service history (as far as warranty work is concerned). Most people that had the option (out of warranty) did NOT opt for the in-tank jobber.
