I have a 2001 with the banks big head acuator and the edge comp box. My truck also is the 6-speed. My problem is the egt's when at the 5x5 mode it gets real hot quick, and I have to let off the throttle for a sec or two. I also have the bd 4" exhaust from front to back and a k&n. Any suggestions? Oh woops, my gears are 4.10s.

 

Sounds like you need to finish your upgrades. This may very likely include a new/larger turbo to provide more intake air to your ETH. This should help w/EGT trouble. <br><br>More info would help. Is this towing, or running empty? Uphill, or flat? Altitude or......Get my drift? <br><br>Lotsa smart folks here. Not me, I'm new .<br><br>My truck is very similar to yours, and I have been planning for a while. The ETH wants more turbo when it gets more fuel, or EGT's get out of hand.<br><br>

 

Well that's what I thought, but just wasn't sure I do a variety of driving and my tire size is 295-16. My boost gauge will hit 40lbs in 6th gear all day long.<br><br>Thanks for the reply,<br>Bob<br><br><br>
