water temp gauge is pegged!

I have an 01 with no codes and with a temperary gauge showing 190* water temp.but the factory gauge will swing to the far right and the check gauge light
comes on saying its hot I changed the water sensor but made no differance, any one think they might know whats doing this. I cant see any bad spot in the wireing and I have snugged up all the grounds I can find.
thanks R

No idea. But if it helps, I'll let your wife know you'll need twins to fix it.

Your positive this is a sensor/gauge/wiring problem?

Just wondering because I've seen quite a few 24's do this and found that the radiator was plugged due to the fan blowing up dirt and what ever into the puke bottle oiled radiator!

NO puke bottle clean radiator, inside and out, I am thinking now it might be a ECM issue

Sounds like a ground is off.

Did you check the wires for resistance before installing a new sender?

Possible that the feed wire to the sender is shorted to ground. I would ohm out the wires before buying a PCM.
