Wait To Start Light Flashes & No Start

Hello,

I'm having issues with my truck not starting. I went out to start the truck today, turned the key to the on position, and the Wait To Start light just comes on and starts flashing. Also, if you bump the ignition the fuel pump doesn't even engage. If you go ahead and turn the key to crank the truck, it won't start. This just started all of a sudden. I've never seen the Wait To Start light flashing before. Is this the sign of a bad ECM?

The one other thing that is strange. When I hook up a code scanner to get any codes it can't even connect to the computer anymore? Just sits and says it fails to connect. I have an Edge Insight CS and it won't connect either. The Edge can't even tell that it's a Dodge truck anymore. Is the ECM completely dead?

Thanks for any help or suggestions.

Just wanted to give an update on the post. I figured out what the main issue was. ECM was bad. I sent the ECM to Auto Computer Specialists to have it rebuilt and flashed. They charge about $300 to repair the ECM's on these trucks.
