vp44 tests
vp44 tests
im having some issues with my truck i cant get it to start. the lift pump is getting fuel, not sure how much pressure though. I drained the canister and allowed to run again and the fuel was pouring out quite well. i am worried that the vp44 is bad though. its a 99 24v with 150k miles and i just bought it a few months ago. my friend checked it with a scan tool and it had a i think 1688 code???? the haynes repair manual didnt have any info on that code. it said it was a manufacturer _______ something. anyone know what this can mean? also is there any kinda way to eliminate the vp44, since i might have to spend 1000 or more to fix it i would rather spend a little more and get it done permenantly. thanks in advance for the input.
If you got to replace it do it right once and get the HOT ROD VP44...
Its a little more money but its well worth it...

did you replace youras with this or know someone that did. what kind of gains did they notice and how does it make more power? any more reliable or do i need to worry about it going out in the future. im going to get a fuel pressure gauge anywhere that has them for a good deal?
