VP-44 to P-Pump

VP-44 to P-Pump
Can you install a P pump on a vp44 truck and still have the electronics in the dash work? What would happen doing this ? Just wondering what all I would lose or is it going to be a problem with things working...windshield wipers, lights...that sort of thing. TIA
