You also can check with a bearing parts house like Kaman or Motion Ind. If you check with International Seal at
International Seal
They can help you locate a dealer in your area. The seal # you want from them is
28X38X7AV.

I just repaired my vacuum pump a week ago. The dealer part # for the kit is 5140342AA, cost $61.60. The kit consists of a seal and a couple of o-rings. It does come with easy to follow directions. By the way, the dealer (service dept) denied that there was a repair kit and wanted replace the pump (for $1200). I had to tell the parts dept. that there was a kit and had to provide them with a part no. The parts guy was shocked to know that there was such a kit. They been telling folks all along that they had to buy the pump because there was no repair kit avail. They blamed the lack of knowledge on the service dept. They had 1 in stock (I took it fast) and showed a 160 kits on a nationwide back order.
Note: the pump was a royal pain it the butt to remove. It took about 6 hrs to complete the job (Dodge service tells you 4-5 hrs) . I didn't have some of the tools needed (improvised) to get into some of the tight spots where the bolts were located. Replacing the seal and o-rings in the pump were a snap (about 25-30 min). The pump hasn't leaked as of this message. Good luck.

I'm glad to hear your repair worked out so well. The only thing is that these three parts could be had from Cummins for around $20.00.
Could you scan and download the directions for other people to use? The parts have been available for awhile, but a good set of instructions has not. (to my knowledge)
Isn't that funny that the parts guy doesn't believe that a kit is available and then you find out that he even has it IN STOCK?
The way I see it, you just saved yourself over $1000.00! I say go buy yourself something pretty.

Picked up the seal kit from dealer, and read instructions. Says to drain power steering system and remove ps pump lines. I know I have read a thread on this site on how to do this w/out draining ps sytem. I will search for it.
Any chance somebody out there who knows Cummins parts dealer to get a cross ref number for the Dodge part number. Package is from Cummins, it's gotta be cheaper than $73 w/tax, and put it in the tech facts section parts numbers.
