used vp pump?
i managed to find a used pump from a roll over out of a 2001, i am assuming that this pump is the same for all model yrs that used this particular vp pump.or is there diff. pumps for diff yr of trucks?is there anythinbg on the pump in the way of a serial number or some other means to verify that this pump will work in my rig?i would like to be able to verify that this pump works before buying it!hopefully this will get me back rolling even if its only a temp. fix.thanks fellas!

If yours is automatic or 5 speed an the one you found is the same and NOT A 6 SPEED then you should be good to go, or if yours is a 6 speed and the one you found is a 6 speed then your good to go that way
I almost forgot if you get this pump before installing make sure the key is the same # as yours. I just replaced mine and the key was a #036 and the arrow on the key MUST FACE THE PUMP i don't know why but they say it must.

i will have to make a call, but i think it might be coming out of a 6 speed. not starting to sound to good. so for some reason an auto and a stick are diff. pumps?
