ok, long story short:

1 ecm supposedly bad
2 removed edge ez truck was fine

 

oops hit enter didnt finish thread

after removed edge ez and unplugged ecm and plugged back in.
truck has a lag example: form start if i stomp on it i get about a 1 second delay before truck actually comes to life.

same thing if coasting with foot off gas. once i re apply it has same delay. i tried resetting apps. didnt work. this is really annoying.

problem 2.

when starting from a dead stop when i hit the gas there is a clunk like a bad universal joint. same when coasting and re applying gas. any suggestions?

 

I've got nothing on the ECM stuff. However, in an unrelated work truck, danger ranger, we had (have) a bad clunk in gas-off gas-on situations. Its the transfer case in that situation. I know the Dodge cases are significantly stouter, but after checking your U-joints, you might look into that too.

On second thought, could the EZ have made enough of a difference to the truck feel that the lag you feel is simply the stock fueling and timing so it just "feels" really slow? I know every time I put my Smarty back to stock I wonder how I got along without it.

 

well i since replaced the ez with a edge juice with attitude monitor. bigger horsepower still lagging in beginning.
