truck not heating

truck not heating

i have a 99 dodge 2500 24v, and recently inless i have a load behind the truck my truck will not heat up over 140 degrees no matter wat time of day or how far i drive, there fore in these winter months my inside heater isnt hot, what should i look at to fix this problem? thanx

I would start with making sure the fan clutch isn't locked up and running all the time. Next I would change out the thermostat, but don't trust the ones at the parts houses, get a genuine cummins.

It'll probably be alot cheaper if you go directly to cummins, if you have one nearby.
