Trouble Codes

Hello board;

Finally got a friend to hook my CTD up to the comp. Here are the results:

PO234 Turbo Boost Limit Exceed
PO341 Cmp Signal Error

Other than my occasional stutter at idle, the truck seems to be running fine. I have not pulled anything substantial....mostly daily driving. New injector pump about a month ago. Do these codes sound familiar to anyone? Faulty sensor someplace?

Thanks for any insight.

I think this could be the MAP (boost sensor) or the waste gate. I don't know about the other one.
You might try doing a search and see what you come up with. I'm sure some of the "whizzes" will chime in here.

For what it's worth, my truck was running OK, but had a slight hesitation at take off, and didn't seem just right. I replaced the MAP (boost) sensor and the IAT sensor and now it runs great. But then, I'm pushing 170 k miles.
Good luck

Sounds like the map sensor connection to the comp was not made...recheck your instructions.
What year for the Comp?

P0341 (M) Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor Signal
Problem with voltage signal from CMP......might check to make sure the camshaft position sensor connector is plugged in good.

Not sure what you mean by this....you think it was a misread by computer? I'm not sure what year his machine was......looked pretty new. It was a hand held Snap-On unit. Maybe I should have clarified,.....this was a diagnostic comp.......not a mod comp. My MIL light has been on for the past week.

Can anyone tell me where to find my Camshaft position sensor? Also, the location of my MAP sensor? If I'm understanding this correctly, the MAP sensor could potentially throw a PO234 code?

Can these two sensors be replaced by the shade tree mechanic? I'm amazed they would both fail at the same time....

Thanks for those who've contributed.....any insight is appreciated. I'm a POOR boy these days, need to save every penny I can!

Map sensor is just right of my boost tube (white tube). It takes a 1 1/16 socket to remove. Make sure to slide the red tab on the connector to release it...

My mistake, I thought you were refering to a Comp hot rod module.
I can't find the camshaft pos. sensor (CMP)on my '01.
The Haynes book picture shows one next to the fuel injector pump as a '99.
It also says the CMP is for diagnostics only and does not control fuel.
