transmition upgrade
I'm curious of anyone on here has a 1999 dodge 24v automatic that has replaced the stock automatic with a newer model automatic, say a 08-09 automatic. I understand that they should bolt up if the engine is the same but I'm curious what else would need to be done and if anyone has had it done, was it worth it?
Those would be the 6 speed, totally different controller.
I haven't heard of a standalone controller yet, but that doesn't mean it isn't available yet.
Lots of 68RFE guys have swapped back to the 48RE for durability under power though.
I am not sure they have figured out how to make the 6 speed live under power yet.
