Transfer case front shaft bearing.

Can this bearing in my 99 auto be replaced from the outside ? If so , does anyone have a part number for it ? Its pretty lose.. This is where the front drive shaft bolts onto the flange, bearing.

No the retaining ring is on the inside of the case, so it needs to come out and be split. Not a very hard job, getting the flange off the shaft might not be easy. Take a close look at the drive chain, may have stretched over time with a bad bearing. It should fit the gear tightly, you should not be able to pick any slack up off the teeth easily. Good luck.

Either dealer, quad4x4, drivetrain.com, maybe even napa? The diagram I posted above is from drivetrain.com.
