Tranny Shuddering

When i go into what i guess is OD (last shift) if I am in it at all it seems to have some shuddering. Is it possibly the converter or tranny?? It doesn't seem to do it with the comp turned off. Signs of tranny going out?

Signs of the torque converter not holding up against the added torque of the comp. Time to call your favorite tranny dealer and look into an upgrade sounds like to me.

Mine did that right after I first put my comp on. It turned out to be the 4th gear clutches on mine. It seems that some slip the TC and others 4th gear. Either way, its not a good sign. However before I would condemn it, I would do a tranny service, and see if that helps.

Turn your comp off and see how it does. Heavy fuel setting in OD,at low rpm (1500 rpm) will produce same symptoms.

I keep OD locked out around town for that reason... at least below 2000 rpm in 3rd.
