Just bought an 01 2500 4x4 auto (edge chip, exhaust brake)and the tranny is a bit funky. If I gas it shifting into third it shudders pretty bad, same with od(if i don't get on it she shifts fine). Also, the rpms jump around a bit going steady at 35mph, like its not happy w that speed. Looking for input(how long will it last) and point me in the direction of a good diesel mechanic in Central Washington(I live in Ellensburg). This is my first diesel and I'm not much of a mechanic so go easy on the abbr.

 

There are several shops in the Spokane area.....maybe quicker and safer to come over here than the wet side.
