totally baffled

truck's ran great for 3 weeks since the vp-44 was replaced then today out of no where i get a horrible stutter taking off. it wasnt a dead pedal but more like half pedal, then it bucked and jumped and took off like normal.

also what has me concerned is the fact that 6 months ago my fuel gauge went to empty and stayed there...the only way i could get the needle to move was by disconnecting batteries and taking power away to reset everything. well today my fuel gauge started fluctuating from empty to full repeatedly and its never done this. im thinking i must have a loose connection to the PCM somewhere or something

Sounds like the sender in the tank is starting to fail. I've seen a few messages about the pivot pin wearing out and causing a weak contact in the sender.

CTD Nut your right it should be throwing a code... Check for codes...

No way it's trouble with your new Injection Pump, right?
Probably wouldn't hurt to do the old unplug and plug in routine and/or dielectric grease the connections before anything else.

im gonna see if it does the stutter again...

as for the fuel gauge...it broke in december and i replaced the sending unit with no results...my issue was in the wiring or gauge itself...now all the sudden its fluctuating when it used to just sit on E all the time
