throttle issues -

the truck is not throwing any codes yet the throttle will "cut out" and is non responsive - the truck does not die and continues to run: throttle will return for a short time, only to cut out again.
in the emergency post someone stated

"sounds sort of like dead pedal, might be looseing your vp"

if I do need to re-replace the vp44 - what is a good product? did the vp 18 mo ago / lp/ pressure guage added - would like a little more life out of my money - also time to learn how to change one myself.

will bad crank sensors throw codes? cam sensors? speed sensor? any type of checklist to go thru? the problem occurred when wiring the fan in - wired into the fuse box under the hood - was throwing a p1690 p1693 p0500 - remedied the fan wiring - now codes are gone and not returning - yet the condition remains

might be the Apps, the throttle position sensor. There's a how-to in the tech facts section on the site to reset it. Worth a try at least.

I would definitely try the APPS first, even if you have to replace it, it's a heck of a lot cheaper than a VP44. You can get an aftermarket APPS for well under $200.

do a search for timbo1 and apps. $150 to your door and better than OEM.

bad diode in the alternator - corrupted when wiring into the main lead into the fuse box under the hood (flex lite fan)- DO NOT WIRE AUX COMPONENTS INTO MAIN LEADS IN THE BOX + and/or - replaced alternator all is well for now - will look into clearing reprogramming and/or replacing apps sensor as well - also prevenative replacement of crank sensor and cam sensor if possible -
thank you for all the input
will look into the 150.00 apps for preventative measures and to cy my own a when I bump the voltage and reprogram my stock apps
