Thank you!

Just wanted to say thanks to those who's input made my recent project a success.

The truck is running awesome! New VP44, RV275 injectors and a valve adjustment did the job. One thing I learned during this is; everything is easy for the man who doesn't have to do it himself ... Amen! I thought after all the research and investigation into these upgrades it was going to go smoothly ... not! Oh well, it's done and I didn't break anything!

For all you 98.5-99 owners; make sure you check out the bracket that supports the rear of the injection pump. Mine was broken and when I went to Cummins to pick up a replacement, they told me it's a common problem with the 98.5-99's, which leads to premature pump failure. Hope this helps someone out. My last pump only had 30k on it. The new bracket is built like a brick edit ... nothing like the original.

I see a tranny in my future. I notice I'm not getting the full potential of the hp/tq during the fluid coupling ... but when the torque converter locks ...WOW, she pulls like crazy! Nice puff of black smoke too, when I get on it. I'm hitting 30lbs of boost @ 1000* pulling a hill, empty ... YEEEHAAA!

Anyway, thanks again to all. Hopefully I can return the favor some day!
