My truck is idling real rough.It sounds like its "camming" The tach needle jumps around alot.I was backing up our camper and it was so rough it made my low pressure chirp go off.The fuel pressure stays at a constant 15 to 16.Now going down the road I have no problems at all,plenty of power.I had the valves adjusted and the injectors popped and reset about 3 weeks ago.Thats when the rough idle started.Anybody got any ideas???

 

Surely there's somebody here that can answer this.

 

did they change anything on the pop off press?

 

Yes he shimmed a few of them.He said they were supposed to be within 50 lbs of each other.

 

Unhook your edge and see what it does. If ok than its in the edge box. If not I suspect a possible to tight adjustment.

 

Ok i will try that.Unhook the edge from where?The edge box itself? or the computer on the engine? If its a tight adjustment,will it get better? Will it hurt anything. My engine is really quiet now after the adjustment and man does it have power!!
