Actually an OEM 3rd gen box looks like cost $ 210.00, not quite $ 1200

i dont think that it is the cost of the box that is so bad it is the brackets and everthing else you need to make it fit a 2nd gen.

To me the box looks same, it might be slightly different bolt pattern. I wish I had a core around, I could compare with mine.

I can't remember where I saw the photo, but the 3rd gen box is definitely a different bolt pattern.

As far as my AGR box goes, I've got mixed feelings about it. It drives great, and it's very smooth. Although AGR sent me the wrong turning ratio, and the box doesn't return to center.

I'm too lazy to pull the steering box off so I can send it back for the right turning ratio, and I'm hoping more caster will make the return to center a bit better.

It's less caster that makes it return. Too little & it wanders. FWIW, Firestone has a lifetime alignment for $140. Unfortunately, you have to beat the tech over the head to get AND stand there while he's working on your truck to get the specs you want. I've been on the machine 4 times in the last 3000 mi.

Yea, I've got that. I've had an alignment maybe 6 times in the past 10k miles and I don't think my caster has EVER changed.
