What is it doing when you crank it over..does it crank over...does it act like it's not getting any fuel? Where is your fuel pressure gauge reading the pressure?

Is the problem when engine is cold....or after a short stop somewhere? Two very different scenarios... with possibly different causes!

starting problems

I have a 98.5 . Went camping for a week returned friday. The problem with my trip was when I got to the campground the truck wouldn't start. The injection pump went out. So the only place that would fix it was a dodge dealer but had to do the lift pump too for warranty. Anyhow back to your problem, truck parked since Friday went to us it yesterday wouldn't start. Got my friend at local garage to bring up his snap on scanner no codes were present everything checked ok. We were looking @ the info in the scanner on hard starting after sitting he went to crank it and it started right up. Scanner troubleshooting says return line to tank could be leaking and air backing up to injection. I'm going to check my lines tonight.

Theres a check valve on the banjo bolt on the return line. take it off and see if you can blow through it.
