Getting ready to replace the contacts in my starter with these

you will need a 10mm 12 point socket for the starter bolts - top bolt is a joy - have fun .

Yup, Larry B's are the way to go, did mine last year and no problems since. Those little 12 pt bolts are a *&%$# to get off. Other than that no prob.

I've ended up using a small hydraulic jack to turn the wrench on a couple of them

That top bolt is a PITA. First time I took it off, went thru 3 sockets before I finally broke it loose.

Reminds me, it's time to check it.

Good idea on the jack!

If you're lucky someone may have removed them prior to you....if not you are in for a treat. I've had to do the bottle jack trick myself on those.

I used 12mm box wrench about 7" long ( Sears ) and a 12" length of pipe to get the top bolt. I was able the get the wrench on from the bottom and then the pipe from the top and got it loose. A real PIA but doable.
