Shock ???

Have been through two sets of Rancho shocks. The rubber bushings on the bottom of the front shocks keep wearing out so that I get a thumping sound. Replace the shock and the noise goes away. I can actually see the shock move when I get underneath and make the suspension move. My brother has some Monroe shocks that do the same thing. The Ranchos are covered under warranty just get tired of the noise and having to change them out. Any suggestions?

Re:Shock ???

considering the fact munro makes ranch ........I'm not suprised ......ever noticed the munro heavy duty gas and rancho rs 5000 have the same specs

I got some munro HD's on my truck right now, but when they're shot I'm gonna try somthing else ......

I was thinking maybe some BDS 5500's since the dual shock kit I got coming is bds

Re:Shock ???

I had problems with other shocks to I found that the factory bolts are to small in diameter on lower end. As same with the rear shocks had to change to larger bolt.

Re:Shock ???

perfect timing!!! I changed out my trackbar last weekend, and noticed the lower ends of my RS9000s were "moving" when the truck was rocked back and forth - I called Summit racing and they sell replacement bushings... the front end on my truck had slowly gotten loose, so I've replaced ball joints, trackbar, and up next is swaybar links and fixing the loose shocks...

I'd sure appreciate any suggestions for better shocks - should I try to find urethane bushings? Anything rubber on domestic cars/trucks seems to go bad in 3 years. At least on my cars - it's very annoying...
