I used the write up sticky as a guide. First, I don't think the alternator has been replaced, but the nut was not 7/8 as stated in the writeup, was a 15/16, close but the 7/8 would not fit at all. Also, is said there was a mark for BDC, I used the TDC line, but then "rotate one full revolution" to BDC mark. I looked, and cleaned a lot of oil/dirt but never found a BDC mark, am I blind? I ended up jus turning until I could see 6 was a TDC for the rest of the timing. Minus that it was not too bad, haha (I left it in gear of course, then wondered why I couldn't turn it
), truck has 112k, worst valve was 3 and 5, their exhausts were .024, most were pretty close, all were at least 1/100 over. Seems to idle a bit smoother.

I had the same exact experience. There is no BDC mark on my truck either. I did the same thing you did. I think mine were pretty close also. truck seemed to run a little quieter? probably just my imagination. I feel better having done it though.
