Is it savable?!?!?!

so i got the head off today and it appears i dropped a valve seat, the #5 piston is all beat up but the cylinder wall is pretty good except one score in it that doesnt seem to deep, can #5 piston be replaces witht he block in the truck and will honing the block make it last?

Unless that score is too deep, yes.

that is the same issue #5 and my piston was destroyed and put a small scrap down the whole path of cycle in the cyl wall not deep enough to bore but enough that a good hone did not remove. but to me this was fine, replaced all other pistons and rings also. same thing #5 exh valve got to hot and dropped. i think mine was I had a EGT gauge that was over 2 years old and seemed to work but I think it was slowly going bad on the top end of temps. because running the truck at 1000-1100 but the truck was most likely running alot hotter than I knew. hope all works out for you.
