I just put a new used pump on my 99 and it runs good then it looses all of its power whats the deal??? The new used pump has come off of a running HO and now it runs like crap just in spurts not all of the time though. Thanks Alot..

 

I've heard of problems like that going from the SO to the HO pump.

 

Why would you use a used pump and jepordize a $2,000 injector pump??
Being thrifty is one thing, but...............

 

I think he replaced the vp44 with a pump off a HO motor (ETH) & he has a ETC motor.I have heard of that happening when mismatching pumps.If i were you i would want to stick with the standard output pump as they are capable of more fuel delivery & i would also try & stay away from used vp44 injection pumps,they were usualy removed for a reason.Good luck.

A change like that would require a recalibration of the ECM since it is still using the parameters from the old style pump.
