replaced VP/ injectors now runs worse.

The dealershop removed the rocker arms and pedestals when they replaced the injectors. This caused back fireing into the intake manifold. He found that #1 cylinder exhoust was over tight and holding the valve open. Also found that cylinders #4and 5 intake valves were also over tight and not releasing. Readjusted all valves and retested ok no more back fire.

IT is pretty good to cause a problem and then be able to fix it. The says that it isn't nessecary to remove them and the other didn't remove them to replace the injectors. ONE problem that they forgot was where I told them that the banjo bolts were for the pump. There was one more that they stuck me for.

All for 15 hours to re & re pump and injectors. It would be nice if my bosses were sooooooo lenient on me when I made a mistake at work. some have it soooooo gooooood.

Oh yah now the engine has a full time flutter and shake in the gear stick at idle and going down hill say 8% it bucks terribly. Power is slow coming on and makes boost to 14 lbs. It does run out of fueling at about 1900 rpm. Can't drive it below 1700 rpm .

Well it seems to me that you have all the good luck with specialists....
How long did you run it with the allegedly misadjusted valves?
I'd start with the simple things- valve adjustment- do it yourself so you know it's done right.
Next check for leaks on the injector lines and on the fuel supply lines- maybe you are getting air somewhere.
Do you have any codes?

Why would they remove the rocker arms to do injectors? You have a great dealer, no wonder you have so many problems. Time to learn how to work on your own stuff or find someone who can.

i'd take it to someone else to fix, when i got their bill i'd take it to the dealership and have them pay for it since it's their mess up. they won't pay it but you can make a really big scene and if there are customers you can tell them what an excelent bunch of mechanics they have, while letting them know what happened, and be sure to let them know how the dealership is helping you with the problem. but that's just me and i'm a bit of a pain in the a** like that. or don't pay the bill if they charged you for all of the extra work. like it was already said why remove the rockes??? aigh't now boys if we take ishere thang on here and take it on offa herei rekon we can get that there thing there offa that there other thing richere. watchu rekon there leroy?

So is your truck running rough at idle? Sounds like they didn't install the injectors correctly. Possible issue is that they did not seat the injector into the the hole correctly and then tighten them down without fully seating the injector. My brother had a similar issue on his truck when he did it himself. I would take my truck apart and confirm the injectors. It's an easy install. If you need the instructions you can google for the instructions or I'm sure many of us have them.

One more thing to consider. Don't take your truck to the dealer they really aren't the best to fix your issues. Maybe if you're under warranty and have time to let them keep your truck but they aren't specialist at fixing the CTD they are specialists of making money off of you.
