pull off front rubber intake that goes into the front of the turbo. loosen hoseclamps pull it clear
on the inside of the turbo you will see a expanson ring around the outer edge holding a metal plate with a whole in the middle, that is the silencer ring. just use 2 small screwdrivers to work that ring out of the grove and pull the ring out. hope this helps

what screwstokin said I had mine off in about 10 min it's real simple. Once you get an end started just keep working it around. It is kinda like taking off any snapring if you have done that it is the same thing. then listen for the whistle the more air the better the whistle
