Rear disc/lsd conversion?

My truck has rear drums and no limited slip, I'm wondering how hard it would be to swap in an axle from a 2002 truck with both already installed? I found a decent deal on a full axle from disc to disc and would love to convert instead of buying new drums. Are the axles different in any way from my '98? Also, will the stock proportioning valve and e-brake setup work or will I need to get these from the donor truck as well? Any help is appreciated.

I don't think it would be that hard, but you would need the brake proportioning valve for a disk brake truck too.

On second thought, you may need the brake master cylinder from a disk brake truck too. There is a upgrade to the drum brakes in putting in a different slave cylinder. Do a search on here, and you'll find out more about it.

I've seen the upgrade and I may do that but I just hate drum brakes. I may just get the axle and anything else I can think of that might be needed and when it's time for rear brakes I'll start playing with stuff and see how it goes.
