I believe the 2500 manual trans have the 80 and the auto trans have the 70<br>Tim

Manual transmission trucks have a Dana 80. If you are towing, DC recommends a 85 - 140W synthetic. The service manual calls for 10 oz. of friction modifer.<br>There are no gaskets, use silicone.<br>John

My owners manual says to use 75-140 - any of you tech heads know the difference between 10 points on the viscosity index?

My factory installed 70 cover was put on with RTV.<br>Now it's o-ringed ;D

Local NAPA stores do have gaskets...nice cork ones. They have them for the Dana 60 and 70, and the 80.<br><br>If they don't list them, look under ford...they have the same axles and gaskets, I believe.<br><br>If ya use the maghytek, don't forget to oil the o-ring prior to installation!
