question on replacing lift pump
question on replacing lift pump
I have been experiencing the dead pedal issue and started trying to fix the problem by changing the lift pump. I have an 02 2500 with the 24 valve HO emgine and when I went to the dealer, they told me they would have to install a conversion which would result in the lift pump being installed in the tank -- the stock lift pump is under the hood mounted to the engine. I opted to install (myself) an aftermarket replacement for the original but I can't find where the 2 prong wire plugs into the main wiring harness. Can anyone help with this?
Right now, I am running the new lift pump with the old wire and I'd like to run the new wire as well.

It just buries itself into a larger loom. You should be fine with the older wire. If you are worried, use the old wire to trigger a relay and run new wire from the battery. My feelings are the aftermarket pumps draw more than what the computer likes to give anyway.
