i recently bought the quad. max milage 3, for fuel ecomony. after it was in for 4 days trans. went out , it is a automatic. i did a couple power brakes after i installed the quad. to see if give me any more power, it did. it says it gives about 30 more horses out of the box. the truck has 160,000 on it. does anybody think the trans was on its way out, or the quad. done this.

 

aahhhh, the tranny was most likely on it's way out. 30 extra hp over stock will not hurt anything. "Powerbrake" starts are VERY hard on drivetrain.

 

Yeah, the powerbrakes were probably the kiss of death for your tranny.
