Pwr Steering to Adaptor Oil Lead-2000?
Pwr Steering to Adaptor Oil Lead-2000?
My search has turned up some good info but from what I have found it does not apply to a 2000 model. There is the vacuum pump, adaptor, reservoir. The leak is between the adaptor and the reservoir. Does this use the same seal as described in http://dieselram.com/cgi-bin/ultimat...c;f=3;t=000360 which is for a 1998 model that does not appear to have an adaptor or is there a different seal. If there is, would like seal number and where to purchase. New pump is right at $400 and the dealer said it cannot be repaired. Thanks.
The link you included in your post is the instructions I used to fix my 2000. You can get the seal from a parts house like Kaman Ind. You can contact these people International Seal They can tell you where a dealer is that's close to you that will carry them. They like to work through dealers but are helpful. Make sure that you specify that you want the seal made of viton material. It will withstand the oil temps better.
