Pump cover ?'s

Does anyone have the part # for the torx bit that is needed to get the pump cover off of the newer vp44's?

The torx bit you want is a T25.. should be able to get it at Autozone or any parts store or even Sears.<br><br>HTH

If it is the newer pump it doesn't have a regular torx, it has a 6 sided tamperproof torx that Chrysler has, but bluechip and probably others sell them

The one on my truck is a 5-star instead of 6 and has a hole drilled in the center of it. You have to buy a T25 Anti Tamper 5 star Tox bit. I went all over Houston and no one had them.

The one on my truck is a five star torx also. I wil call blue chip, but i havent been able to find one anywhere around the Dallas/Fort worth metroplex.

yeah thats the one. i got it from blue chip with my pump cover. I think it was about $8. A little pricey but its cheap if you can't get it anywhere else.<br>Tim
