I need some advise on where to start searching to fix a P0234 code, over boost. Truck is stock except silencer ring removed. maybe this will be the last of my problems. I have pulled the codes 3 times now, does not set the check engine light. I searched the site some, and then the search was disabled, but most of what I found was dealing with BOMBS.

Make sure the wastegate is operating correctly(rusted), also test the MAP sensor, I use a Snap-On Vantage meter, don't know how to test it other than that. Also look at the connections on the MAP, cleaning them MIGHT fix it. You have a boost gauge??? Stock should be around 20-22lbs. Last thing to try is see if the vacuum pot on the wastegate actuator is OK, rubber hose to the acuator is not cracked, fell off, no leaks,etc. My experience with gassers is a intermittant "soft" code won't set the light, but a constant "hard" code will. Never had any codes on mine yet, so can't say for sure!
