P0230 Fuel Pump Primary Circuit Code?

From: In Oroville, Ca., same house for past 46 yrs!
The resistance load the ECM is seeing on the lift pump is exceeding the preprogrammed limitations. I had the same code when I took off my stock lift pump and didn't have anything to plug into the two-wire cable. I have since plugged in a common Tail Light bulb which imitates the load of the motor and eliminates the code.
