What oil filter do you guys run on a 24v? I was told not to use a Fram to use a Napa gold. What do you guys think?

I go Fleetguard. I've heard the horror stories of the Fram's coming apart and cardboard in oil. Besides, the smell of diesel and oil at the local Cummins repair and part shop is much more pleasing than the multi-pierced idiot behind the counter at Checker/Shucks/AutoZone, etc.

FleetGaurd, Napa Golds, and CarQuest Premiems are all I have ever used. I won't even touch a Fraham much less use one.

Stratapore or Amsoil, Napa (Wix) are good spares for the tool box..

I heard K&N didn't have a anti-drain back valve. And that because of that, they're not recommended to use.

I Should clarify I have a 12 valve , 2nd gen truck using K&N oil filter. The filter for my engine would not require an anti-drain back setup. For a 24valve you may be right. On the K&N web site they claim to have anti-drain back valve where required.
I probably should not have posted, sorry for the confusion.
