Don't make the mistake of comparing the amount of blowby of these engines with a gasser. They have a suprisingly, much greater volume of blowby, which is normal for them.
The pill bottle was put on the end of the breather tube to catch oil from blowby. The bottle should be cleaned at every oil change or relocated to a place where the fan can't catch the oil mist from it. Oil from the bottle, caught by the fan, and deposited on the radiator, is the biggest single cause of 24v over heating.
For serious off the roading, the breather should be moved off the front of the engine to the rear of the valve cover. Loss of over a gallon of engine oil out the breather isn't uncommon when driving down a steep enough incline.

i seggest everyone move the bottle. easier to clean and minimises loss of oil too!
I cleaned the bottle the day of the oil change.... 2 days later the is a smell of oil and the bottom of the check can is covered...
Now i have lived in the same house for the past three years. drive up and down the same hills and it was only this past week that there seems to be oil gushing out of this breather.. The breather is in the OEM location for now.
