not sure where to start............
You're welcome and I hope you figure it out.
Re-reading through my post though, I hope I made it clear enough that I was referring to ALL major electronic connections under the hood and not just the batteries. For instance, making sure the ECM plug is tight and secured and frame to body grounds and starter wiring, etc... Imagine the electrical system as holding water, whereas if there was a loose connection or blockage or broken fitting then there'd be a a leak or lack of flow. Same applies to electricity.

Temperature and electricity are relative in the sense that as temperature goes up then the load requirement goes up as well. The same applies in the extreme cold too but we're now talking heat not cold. So if there's any connections, corrosion, or any multitude of the listed said things to look for potentially affecting conductivity then it could be aggravated when hot. Also, considering expansion and contraction too.
All that said, we cant discredit the fact that it may be just a faulty CPS.

Yesterday eve I unplugged harness to vp and it looked good not loose so I put some Oxy-Gard on it and plugge
d back in and locked. Checked batteries and connections. Well this morn I came out and cleared codes again.Started it up fine . idled fine 800rpm. Didnt miss till about 10min then again . finally sevaral dead miss's and died. Got a1693 code... Hear is want some are saying .But i dont understand completly..

Are they pointing toward the CPsensor?

No, the 1693 code is a "companion" code which means its telling you that there is another code in the OBDII system. Usually what you're not seeing is potentially something in the PCM because when you cycle the key the odometer will only list whats in the ECM. And the only way to check for those other codes is with a decent code reader. Not an outrageously expensive one but just not the cheapo ones.
That said, there sometimes is no other code to find which can have you wondering whats up. That usually points to something electrical causing the OBD system to throw codes but has nothing particular to throw, so you get the 1693 code. Or there's something wrong with the VP PSG but that would be the LAST thing you want to address since its expensive.
You mentioned checking the batteries and you checked the VP connection, but did you check all the grounds, ECM connection, and even the PCM connection?

Everything I run across keeps pointing to a bad CPS. If it was my truck thats what I'd be replacing. Not saying its the correct fix but sometimes you just have to try.....
And if those batteries are drained then thats not only a bummer but its NOT good for the batteries either. Automotive lead cell batteries cant be drained without deteriorating the lead cells. Depending on a brand and quality of battery, drain them a couple times and they're done for. I'd suggest hooking them up to a charger and letting them get a good re-charge overnight before you try driving the truck again. You dont need to stress out the charging system on the truck any more than necessary and like I said before, low voltage/amperage screws with the OBDII system.

changed out my CPS yesterday eve.... No luck... Still doing same thing. When its first cranked it runs fine (parked) until it starts to warm up then it cuts out and eventually dies shortly... What were u saying about the APPS...u recon the problem could b there?
